Did you have a favorite toy when you were a kid? What was it? Why? Do you know where it is now?
Toys are an interesting flashpoint of culture. Some of these toys were made for the West, some were made for the East, but most if not all were Cold War era. It’s fun looking at the toys from each side of the conflict and seeing the subtle differences.
Other fun fact; some were even from my own childhood.
Made to remind you of a time from when your troubles could call be solved by finding wherever you stashed your toys and went off to your own little world. Kinda like skateboarding.
