Description

Do you feel comfortable rolling around but are a bit intimidated to go to the skate park or don’t know where to start? Well, have no fear! Because this group class is aimed at those who want to learn the basics of park skating and get comfortable at the skate park on roller skates.
We will learn basic stance, falling safely, pumping, carving, transitions, jumping, and the basics to dropping in for the first time. We will also talk about skate park vocabulary, skate park etiquette, and end with a Q&A and free skate!

You should already know how to:
– Roll forward & backward
– Stop rolling using your toe stops or T-stop
That’s it! If you know more, that’s great! But these are the basic skills you’ll need to succeed in this class.

Class is available on July 23rd or August 20th, 12:00pm-2:30pm.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early if you have never been to the park and need assistance with a waiver and safety equipment.
Safety equipment  (helmet and pads) provided on request. You do need to have your own pair of roller skates. Masks are required as well!
